GENERAL POLICIES

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified. Gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash. No refunds will be given. We require the gift certificate control number when making appointments. Gift certificates must be presented at the time services are redeemed. If you lose your gift certificate, please call us.

CANCELLATIONS
Your appointment is reserved especially for you, meaning we will forego other appointments that may conflict with yours. If you choose to cancel your appointment, especially if you cancel at the last minute, our staff is often not able to fill the time with another client. For that reason, we must institute a cancellation policy and must stick to it with no exceptions.

First, if you are scheduling more than four (4) hours of services (either for yourself or for multiple people) we'll ask you to confirm the appointment with a credit card number or pre-payment.. All cancellations of spa services (facials, body treatments and massage) must be made at least 48 hours in advance. All cancellations of all other services must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations of any service with less than 24 hours notice, including No-Shows, will result in a 100% charge to your credit card and/or forfeit of the value of the gift certificate on file. Cancellations of spa services less than 48 hours in advance, but more than 24 hours in advance, will result in a 50% charge to your credit card and/or forfeit of that value from the gift certificate on file. If you haven't prepaid or provided a credit card for an appointment and you fail to give timely notice of a cancellation, we will require a credit card or prepayment for all future appointments.

LATE ARRIVAL
We request that guests arrive 10-15 minutes before their scheduled appointment. If you show up late, your treatment will be shortened by the same amount of time. If there is not sufficient time to complete your treatment properly, your appointment will be canceled. In either case, you will be charged for the full amount of the service.

RETURNED CHECKS
If a check is returned by the bank, we will assess a $35 service charge.

PRICING CHANGES

All prices are subject to change without notice. However, if our prices do increase, we will honor the price of the service that was effective on the date your appointment was made.

PRODUCT RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
We will gladly accept any retail product return for store credit so long as the return is within 30 days of purchase and is accompanied with a receipt. Products must be in the original package and unused. If there is a complaint about a product once it has been used, please contact us.

SERVICE GUARANTEE
If you are dissatisfied with any service, please let us know so that we can attempt to rectify the problem to ensure your continued loyalty and to avoid such issues in the future for other customers.

INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT
We employ licensed and trained professionals who provide high-quality services. Any inappropriate behavior on behalf of the client or their guests will not be tolerated and the practitioner has the authority to stop the treatment immediately in the event such occurs. The client will be charged the full price of the service and no refund will be given.


POLICIES RELATING TO MINORS

MINORS
Because in many cases we will be dealing with minors, we have implemented the following controls to ensure the safety of our clients and to ensure the protection of our own employees.

All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

All minors seeking spa services, such as massage, facial or body treatment, must have an adult with them on their first visit and must, thereafter, have a parent permission slip on file with spa jane.

All minors must wear a bathing suit during spa treatments.

Finally, to avoid having a minor alone with a technician behind closed doors, we encourage you to schedule spa treatments (facials/body treatments/massage) involving a minor at the same time as someone else in your party. Such services will be performed in a semi-private room with two beds separated by a partition for privacy.

PRIVATE PARTY POLICIES

To discuss or reserve a private party or multiple services for 4 or more, please call us. We will take all pertinent information and forward it to our manager who will then get back with you to discuss the specifics of your event.

ADVANCE SCHEDULING
We recommend booking your event 6-8 weeks in advance to ensure availability and maximum flexibility.

Once your event is booked, we strongly discourage making changes. We work hard to schedule your group together, matching guests with professionals and reserving the appropriate treatment centers to accommodate your group. No changes can be made within 14 days of the event.

When you schedule your event, make sure to consider all the options for your event participants, including things such as paraffin treatments, nail art, etc. so that time can be reserved appropriately.

SIZE OF GROUP
We can accommodate up to 6 clients at one time in the Pedi-Place with 5 more socializing or getting a paraffin treatment while waiting for their pedicure. In the Hand-Stand, we can accommodate up to 4 clients with 2 more manicure stations available in the Mani-Room. We also have a Makeup/Updo room with 4 stations. We can also provide additional services in the spa area and will reserve the Party Room for your event at an extra charge (v.i.jane's are entitled to use of the Party Room free of charge).

PARTY ROOM
We charge $50.00 for a two hour party room rental. You are responsible for all set up and clean up of the room. If the room is left a mess or if professional cleaning becomes necessary because of your party, we will assess an additional cleaning charge.

If you'd like, we'll be happy to provide full concierge service for an additional charge of $100.00.  The concierge service truly makes your spa jane experience stress-free!  We will provide invitations for your event and will consult with you about decorations, food, drink, cake, etc., making all orders and making sure all arrives in time for your party.  We will set up the party, having the room ready when you arrive.  We will provide all utensils, plates, napkins and glasses and will clean up after the party.  During the party, we will take photos of the event and email them to you afterwards.  Basically, you show up, have fun, go home and get photos to forward to your friends, saving yourself at least 3-4 hours of your time.  All food and drink expenses will be passed through to you with your service bill, without any upcharge by spa jane.

If you're interested in the concierge service, please check out our v.i.jane program.  For $200.00, you get the two hour party rental (worth $50), the full concierge service (worth $100), a free spa jane t-shirt (worth $20), free 8oz spa jane skincare cleanser and free 8 oz spa jane skincare toner (worth $40-50), online scheduling registration, and 10% off all services for 12 months from the date of purchase.  Plus, we will regularly contact you with special promotions for v.i.janes, including discounts on new services and products.


PARTY TIMES
While we are happy to make our facility available to groups for after-hour events (without services being offered), we schedule service parties during regular working hours, except by special arrangement.  We prefer to schedule parties on weekday afternoons/evenings and Sundays, simply because Saturdays are our busiest day for our regular clients.  For a completely private event (with services being offered) either during or after hours, contact our manager for details.


MUSIC
At spa jane, we pride ourselves in cutting edge technology that we hope enhances your experience. Perfect for private events, we have iPod ports in each of the group treatment areas where you or any of your guests can dock your personal iPod and play whatever music you wish. For larger events, we will allow a DJ at your expense.

PARTY CANCELLATIONS
No cancellations may be made within 14 days of the event without a 100% charge of all reserved services. Cancellation within the 4 weeks prior to the event, but more than 14 days in advance, will result in a 50% service charge, or a minimum flat cancellation fee of $200.
